It is funny to see Donald Trump for a few seconds in Home Alone 2:Lost In New York in the Plaza Hotel in NYC.

Is anyone else worried that they're going to steal the election with this recount
Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next products.

The root cause of this is there's no discipline in the homes, they don't go to school, you know, they live off the government, no personal accountability, and they just beat people up for no reason, and it's disgusting." - Former Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters

They need a valid legal reason in each county to get a recount. In 2004 in Ohio there was a recount Kerry got 300 extra votes. Nonething will happen.

Challenge to presidential election in Pennsylvania is over

HARRISBURG, Pa — (WHTM) According to legal documents, Jill Stein and her campaign failed to post the $1 million bond needed to challenge the election in Pennsylvania. The court proceeding scheduled for Monday has been canceled.

A “praecipe to discontinue and withdraw” was filed citing that Jill Stein did not post the $1 million needed in the matter of the 2016 presidential election. A source close to the matter told ABC27’s Dennis Owens that Monday’s scheduled court proceeding has been canceled and the challenge is over.

Green Party Drops Statewide Pennsylvania Recount

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – The Green Party is dropping its court case seeking a recount of Pennsylvania’s Nov. 8 presidential election. It had wanted to explore whether voting machines and systems had been hacked and the election result manipulated.

The Green Party’s filing came Saturday, saying it couldn’t afford the $1 million bond the court had set. A Commonwealth Court hearing had been scheduled in the case for Monday, and the $1 million bond was due later that day.

Federal judge halts recount, sealing Trump's Michigan win

DETROIT (AP) — A federal judge who ordered Michigan to begin its recount effectively ended it on Wednesday, tying his decision to a state court ruling that found Green Party candidate Jill Stein had no legal standing to request another look at ballots.

The ruling seals Republican Donald Trump's narrow victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton for Michigan's 16 electoral votes.

U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith agreed with Republicans who argued that the three-day recount must end a day after the state appeals court dealt a blow to the effort. The court said Stein, who finished fourth in Michigan on Nov. 8, didn't have a chance of winning even after a recount and therefore isn't an "aggrieved" candidate.

"Because there is no basis for this court to ignore the Michigan court's ruling and make an independent judgment regarding what the Michigan Legislature intended by the term 'aggrieved,' plaintiffs have not shown an entitlement to a recount," Goldsmith said.

It was the judge's midnight ruling Monday that started the recount in Michigan. But Goldsmith's order dealt with timing — not whether a recount was appropriate. More than 20 of 83 counties already were counting ballots again. They reported minor changes in vote totals, although many precincts couldn't be examined for a second time for a variety of reasons.

Earlier Wednesday, the Michigan elections board voted, 3-1, to end the recount if Goldsmith extinguished his earlier order.

State Republican Party Chairman Ronna Romney McDaniel and Attorney General Bill Schuette said it's a victory for voters and taxpayers. Stein now is left with asking the Michigan Supreme Court to intervene, which is a long shot.

"Jill Stein, who received only 1.07% of the vote in Michigan, is not legally entitled to hijack the will of voters and drag them into an arduous and expensive publicity stunt," McDaniel said.

Stein got about 1 percent of the vote in three states where she's pushed for recounts — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Trump narrowly won all three.

She insists she's more concerned about the accuracy of the election, but Goldsmith said Stein's legal team presented only "speculative claims" about vulnerable machines, "not actual injury."

The judge said a recount to test the integrity of the voting system "has never been endorsed by any court."

A court hearing will be held Friday on a possible recount in Pennsylvania. Wisconsin's recount, which started last week, has increased Trump's margin of victory over Clinton thus far.

Clinton needed all three states to flip in order to take enough electoral votes to win the election. Trump has 306 electoral votes to Clinton's 232; 270 are needed to win. Michigan has 16 electoral votes, Pennsylvania has 20 and Wisconsin has 10. Electors convene Dec. 19 across the country to vote for president.

Donald Trump puts Iran 'on notice' over ballistic missile test

The US has put Iran "on notice" after it test-fired a new ballistic missile, President Trump's national security adviser said.

Retired US Army lieutenant general Michael Flynn said the Trump administration was taking a stand over the test "that puts American lives at risk."

Earlier, Iranian defence minister Hossein Dehghan confirmed reports that Tehran launched a medium-range ballistic missile on Sunday, but said the test did not violate a UN Security Council resolution that bans Iran from developing missiles that can carry nuclear warheads.

However, Mr Flynn said Tehran had defied the resolution and hit out at Iran's "destabilising behaviour across the Middle East".

He said: "President Trump has severely criticised the various agreements reached between Iran and the Obama Administration, as well as the United Nations, as being weak and ineffective.

"Instead of being thankful to the United States for these agreements, Iran is now feeling emboldened."

Despite announcing Mr Trump had put Iran "on notice", Mr Flynn did not outline what action the US would take.

On Monday, a US official said the test missile exploded after travelling 630 miles.

The following day, Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said he hoped Iran's defence programme would not be used by Mr Trump "as a pretext to create new tensions".

The row comes amid a 90-day US ban on visas for migrants or visitors from Iran, as well as six other Muslim-majority countries.

Tehran has said it will take "proportionate legal, consular and political action" over the executive order, while Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned Mr Trump "will cost the US a lot until he learns what is happening in the world".

He said: "(Mr Trump) is new to politics. He has been in a different world.

"It's a totally new environment to him."

In January, President Trump announced plans to develop a "state-of-the-art" missile defence system to protect the US against attacks from Iran and North Korea.

Putin to send Edward Snowden to America as ‘gift’ to Donald Trump

Putin is planning to send whistle-blower Edward Snowden back to America as a ‘gift’ to Donald Trump.

Before taking office, the President called the former National Security Agency worker a ‘spy’ and a ‘traitor’ that deserves to be executed.

Reports from American intelligence, seen by NBC News, suggest that Russian authorities want to ‘curry favour’ with the Trump administration.

Other intelligence papers seen by the news organisation indicate the Kremlin has been discussing the possibility of Snowden’s repatriation since Trump’s inauguration.

Snowden leaked classified documents from his job at the NSA in 2013 and fled to Russia in June of that year.

Trump had previously written on Twitter: ‘Snowden has given serious information to China and Russia-anyone who thinks otherwise is a dope! He is a traitor who fled – he knew the crime!’

During the campaign Trump said of the former-NSA employee: ‘I think he’s a total traitor and I would deal with him harshly. And if I were president, Putin would give him over’.

While the White House has not yet commented on the report, the Justice Department said it would welcome the return of Snowden who was charged under the Espionage Act of 1917.

The leaker could expect a minimum of 30 years in prison.

Head of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, agreed with Trump.

He said: ‘The proper outcome would be that he would be given a death sentence’.

Putin’s apparent offer has been received with caution in Washington. Juan Zarate, a former national security adviser, said: ‘For Russia, this would be a win-win.

‘They’ve already extracted what they needed from Edward Snowden in terms of information and they’ve certainly used him to beat the United States over the head in terms of its surveillance and cyber activity.

‘It would signal warmer relations and some desire for greater cooperation with the new administration, but it would also no doubt stoke controversies and cases in the US around the role of surveillance, the role of the US intelligence community, and the future of privacy and civil liberties in an American context.

‘All of that would perhaps be music to the ears of Putin’.

Snowden has recently had Russian residency extended until 2020, by which point he would be able to apply for citizenship.

The dissident said in response to the latest reports: ‘Finally: irrefutable evidence that I never cooperated with Russian intel. No country trades away spies, as the rest would fear they’re next.’

While it appears he has welcomed the reports as proof of innocence, Snowden’s lawyer tried to pour cold water on the reports.

American Civil Liberties Union lawyer Ben Wizner said: ‘Team Snowden has received no such signals and has no new reason for concern’.

Putin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, called the reports ‘nonsense’.

Before President Trump left office he commuted Chelsea Manning’s sentence, who leaked sensitive military documents to Wikileaks, but refused to take action against Snowden.

Snowden called the choice between Secretary Clinton and Trump a ‘tragedy of our times’ and has since deleted a tweet saying it was ‘a choice between Donald Trump and Goldman Sachs.’

After the surprise victory of Trump, the whistle-blower said he was ‘just the President. It’s an important position but it is one of many.’

His Russian lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena, has previously said that Snowden should be able to return to America without fear of arrest.

He said: ‘We hope very much that the new U.S. president would show some weighted approach to the issue and make the one and only correct decision: to stop prosecution against Edward Snowden.’
