ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) -- Two suspects in a 2016 murder are facing the death penalty.

Court documents show prosecutors intend to seek the death penalty for Cory Kuebler and Shawn Goddard, two of six suspects in Casey Adkins' Aug. 12, 2016 murder.

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton told Tulsa's Channel 8 at the time of the investigation that Adkins was wounded in Tulsa but driven just across the county line where he was shot multiple times.

Prosecutors also filed a motion to try Kuebler and Goddard during the same trial. Both are charged with first-degree murder along with four other defendants.

"I realize this may sound harsh, but as a father and former lawman, I really don't care if it's by lethal injection, by the electric chair, firing squad, hanging, the guillotine or being fed to the lions."

“There are lots of extremely smug and self-satisfied people in what would be deemed lower down in society, who also deserve to be pulled up. In a proper free society, you should be allowed to make jokes about absolutely anything.”

Woman sentenced to 25 years for 2016 Catoosa-area homicide

She also has reported ties to killings in Tulsa and Rogers County

A woman with Irish Mob connections linked to the 2016 shooting death of a 27-year-old man in Catoosa was sentenced to 25 years in prison in Rogers County District Court.

Amy Worsham, 35, entered a guilty plea on Tuesday on a second-degree murder charge in the killing of Casey Jones Adkins.

Worshman was accused of luring Adkins into a vehicle just before he was fatally shot by Cory Kuebler. Kuebler previously entered guilty pleas to avoid facing the death penalty for killing Adkins as well as 25-year-old Curtis Hergenrother.

They also had reported ties to homicides in Tulsa and Rogers County.

Investigators said Keubler was part of a group that had ties to the Irish Mob and was a convicted felon and sex offender.

Worsham and Keubler were arrested in connection with Adkins’ death along with Rhema Cannon, 27; Shawn Goddard, 33; Robert Kilgore, 38; and 22-year-old Tyeler Christopher Miller.

Adkins was found dead near 145th East Avenue south of Apache Street, near Catoosa, on Aug. 12, 2016.

Investigators believed at the time that Adkins was killed over a dispute with Goddard and also regarding a relationship he had with Cannon.

Records indicate that Worsham also had prior felony drug possession charges, including possession in the presence of a minor and concealing stolen property.

Goddard, who was arrested a month after an investigation by authorities, also is up for the death penalty for his alleged role in the killing.
