An undisclosed amount of money has been seized by the New Brunswick RCMP that they believe is linked to organized crime and outlaw motorcycle gangs.

The amount of cash, which the RCMP says is a “significant” amount is the result of a traffic stop on the TransCanada Highway on Wednesday.

Police intercepted a vehicle with Quebec licence plates on Highway 2 near Saint-Jacques, N.B.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a large amount of currency concealed in the vehicle.

RCMP say a 43-year-old man and 40-year-old man were arrested but later released.

The investigation is ongoing.
