Three arrested, charged with capital murder following fatal Tuscaloosa shooting
Three men have been arrested and charged with the shooting death of a 35-year-old in Tuscaloosa Wednesday.
Antonio Dewayne Burl died outside of his Willow Lane apartment after being shot. The incident happened at approximately 10:50 p.m. Wendesday, when Burl and his friend were sitting in Burl's car. Police said several armed men approached the car and robbed Burl and his female friend. Burl was fatally shot outside the car, but the woman escaped unharmed.
Andre Bossie, 26, Stanley Deon Evans, 29, and Bryan O'Keith Taylor, 23, were arrested late Thursday evening, Capt. Kip Hart with the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit said. They will be booked into the county jail on charges of capital murder and held without bond.
Investigators also recovered two weapons they believe were used in the shooting. Hart said investigators think the three men "used a ruse of purchasing narcotics to set the victim up for the robbery."
Hart said during the 26 hours after the shooting, police pursed many different leads and tips, which ultimately led to the arrest of Bossie, Evans, and Taylor.
