Logan Dallas Christopher Sentenced to Life in Prison in 2020 MT Murders of Marisa Wahl and Tiffanie Greenslade

Bail set at $2M for man suspected of killing girlfriend, mom

HAMILTON, Mont. (AP) — Bail was set at $2 million for a western Montana man charged with killing his girlfriend and his mother and shooting his father in the arm hours after authorities say his parents confronted him about his apparent use of illegal drugs.

Logan Dallas Christopher, 25, of Stevensville, appeared before Justice of the Peace Jennifer Ray on Thursday on two counts of deliberate homicide, attempted deliberate homicide and five counts of criminal endangerment, the Ravalli Republic reported. He did not enter a plea. Public defender Sarah Busch was not available Friday to comment, her office said.

Preliminary testing of Christopher’s urine after his arrest found cocaine and THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, court records said.

Ravalli County Attorney Bill Fulbright called Tuesday evening’s killing northeast of Stevensville “virtually an execution.”

Marisa Wahl, 25 — the mother of Christopher’s two children — was shot in the back of the head at point-blank range, court records said. The couple’s 11-month-old son, who was covered in blood but uninjured, was found crawling near his mother’s body, charging documents said.

Christopher’s mother, Tiffanie Greenslade, 47, was shot several times including while she was laying on the floor, an autopsy found.

Christopher is also charged with shooting his father, Noe Christopher, in the arm, and firing multiple shots at him as he ran away. Christopher led officers on a pursuit at speeds up to 130 mph (209 kph) before he crashed his car into a yard in Missoula and surrendered, authorities said.

Officers found a 9mm Berretta semi-automatic handgun and two boxes of ammunition in his car along with about $4,000 in cash. A safe found in the room where Wahl’s body was discovered contained about $3,000 in cash and “significant quantities” of a white powdery substance, along with scales and packaging materials, charging documents said. The substance is being tested.

Noe Christopher told investigators that his son had accused him of “manipulating” and making him look bad. He said he was able to get the couple’s 3-year-old daughter out of the fifth-wheel trailer, where Logan Christopher and Wahl had been living, before Greenslade was shot.

Logan Christopher refused to be interviewed by investigators, court records said.

Montana Man Sentenced to Life in Prison in Double Homicide
Logan Dallas Christopher, 25, pleaded guilty in May to two counts of deliberate homicide

    JULY 16, 2020
HAMILTON – A judge has sentenced a western Montana man to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his mother and the mother of his two children.

Logan Dallas Christopher, 25, pleaded guilty in May to two counts of deliberate homicide and attempted deliberate homicide after also trying to kill his father, hours after Christopher’s parents confronted him about his illegal drug use, the Ravalli Republic reported.

Marissa Wahl, 25, and Tiffanie Greenslade, 47, were shot in a trailer on March 10 where Christopher and Wahl lived with their two children, ages 3 and 11 months, authorities said. Christopher shot his father Noe Christopher, 57, before fleeing the Stevensville home.

Christopher was arrested in Missoula following a police pursuit. He won’t be eligible for parole until he turns 60.

His two children will be raised by their grandfather, Christopher’s father.

“You left me with them,” Noe Christopher said. “They ask about you and Marisa and I’m not quite sure what to say to them. I let them know they are loved. It’s probably one of the toughest things that anyone could ever go through, but with the help of the community, friends and family, we’ll get through it.”

Ravalli County Attorney Bill Fulbright said after the hearing that Logan Christopher told investigators that he had a blackout and panicked.

“I don’t think we’ll ever know what tripped him over the edge, whether it was a combination of anger, drug use or domestic stress. Whatever the trigger was, once he started with the killing of the mother of his children, nothing was going to stop him until his own life was put in danger,” Fulbright said.
