I think the two I chose are viable options.

Duckett had his Hurst claim denied and he's been on death row for more than 30+ years.

As mentioned in a previous post, i bet on James Dailey to be next.

So he's not going to sign a new one for next month? I'm getting some bad vibes about DeSantis, he's seems pretty shaky on actual conservative issues as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he issued a moratorium on the first out he can get with it.

I'll stick with the 2 I chose previously; Glen Rogers and James Duckett

Most FL governors, IIRC, get tunnel vision and don't move on until they get the current guy in their sights. DeSantis isn't going to get anyone else until Dailey goes. Just like Scott didn't sign anyone in between Jimenez getting stayed in August and the December date. It's really irritating - there's no excuse not to schedule someone other than Dailey in the interim.

"They will hurt you. They will hurt your grandma, these people. The root cause of this is there's no discipline in the homes, they don't go to school, you know, they live off the government, no personal accountability, and they just beat people up for no reason, and it's disgusting." - Former Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters

Having the circuit judge set the date would be nice.

It should be an automatic process by law like PA where the director of prisons sets a date, after certain amount of time appeals finish.

It’s also entirely possible that he’s waiting till the FSC has a full bench seeing as they just lost two members to federal service

How many executions will Florida conduct this year?

I know I sound like a broken record, but this Dailey episode is annoying me. Desantis should’ve seen this stay coming. Now, Moody even declined to comment. That’s a bad sign when they do that.
