Tony Egbuna Ford - Texas Death Row

    Tony Egbuna Ford

    Facts of the Crime:

Ford and an accomplice forced their way into the home of Armando Murillo, 18, in El Paso, and demanded money, jewelry and a car from Murillo and other family members. Even though the demands of Ford were met, he shot and killed Armando, then shot his mother and sister, but they survived.

Ford was sentenced to death in El Paso County in October 1993.

Tony Ford's scheduled December 7, 2005 execution was first delayed until March 14, 2006, and it has since been delayed indefinitely so that DNA testing of evidence can be conducted.

DNA testing was done and it came up inconclusive. The case has stalled because once again we have someone making a comment to attorneys years after the trial. Which the attorneys then sat on for years until everything else dried up. So it's another Tharpe/Halprin tactic here.

"In any event, Ford’s false evidence claim is without merit. He argues that the Murillo sisters presented false evidence when they said they were sure Ford was the shooter because, more than twelve years after trial, court reporter Thomas attested in a sworn affidavit that, on the morning of voir dire, the sisters hesitated when was asked if Ford was the shooter and one sister said that Ford “kind of” looks like the shooter. Ford’s investigator encountered court reporter Thomas in relation to this case in 2002 and obtained information from him pertinent to the Brady claim rejected during federal habeas review.. However, Thomas’ affidavit—describing the Murillo sisters’ hesitation and statement—is dated October 28, 2005, and is apparently based on information discovered by federal counsel in a follow-up encounter. Thomas’ affidavit was submitted to the CCA in conjunction with Ford’s subsequent state habeas application in September 2018. Here, Ford fails to show any false testimony was presented through this twenty-sixyear-old hearsay."

Punishing somehow seems unfair to it, and it is certain that imagining ‘punishment’ and ‘being supposed to punish’ hurts it, arouses fear in it." Friedrich Nietzsche

Ford has had a habeas petition pending in Federal District Court since 2011.

Ford is one of the inmates suing Texas over solitary confinement.

Apparently, Ford's lawsuit has something to do with the prison making it difficult for him to host D&D games. Apparently, he and Billy Wardlow ran sessions and are the social heads of the row.

Yeah and Michael Gonzalez was the leader of the group at the Ellis Unit and “pulled some strings” to get Ford moved to their area so he could play with them.

He also apparently worked as Gonzalez’s personal artist and would pay him for it.

When I first saw Mike's post referencing the article; I initially thought it was a link to a parody article. But by-joe, it's real. It totally reads as a parody piece though. Mainstream media is cancer.
