Case was called the "Midday Rapist." Case was convicted of the 1993 Father's Day murder and robbery of Val Lorraine Manuel, 71, and Gary Duane Tudor, 39. Case herded the bartender Manuel and customer Tudor into a rural bar's bathroom sometime after 8 p.m., and then shot them both to death execution-style.
Case was sentenced to death in Sacramento County on October 25, 1996.
Unfortunately This is a direct descendant of my Grandpa as well as my Dads brother. I'm 40 yrs old & for as long as I can remember, Chuck has been incarcerated for one thing or another. My Grandmother always said that she just hoped she lived long enough to see "Chuck" get out of prison. Little did any of know, he had been out of prison BEFORE she died. I have only the wish that he dies a very painful death.
The worst of it all is that it's not going to bring anyone back.

* CHARLES EDWARD CASE, AKA THE MIDDAY RAPIST: Usually struck about noon, after using the Yellow Pages to target small shops where female clerks worked alone. Would tie them up with electrical wire or duct tape. Released from San Quentin in 1991 after serving less than half his sentence, was shortly re-arrested, this time for the Father's Day slayings in 1993 of two bar patrons.
