I wonder if the two people in the senate who lost their loved ones will have enough oomph to convince the senate not to pass the repeal bill? Two closet rino antis gave the bill the energy it needed this year. It fizzled last year. The Colorado legislature on the house side is full of nuts they will definitely pass it there. Polis and Hickenlooper deserve nothing but scorn for letting the Aurora shooter live. In 2013, Hickenlooper saved that sick demented trashes life.

They will never execute someone again so there is no point in having the death penalty. They have sentenced a whopping 14 people to death in 43 years they were never big on it.
"There is a point in the history of a society when it becomes so pathologically soft and tender that among other things it sides even with those who harm it, criminals, and does this quite seriously and honestly. Punishing somehow seems unfair to it, and it is certain that imagining ‘punishment’ and ‘being supposed to punish’ hurts it, arouses fear in it." Friedrich Nietzsche

That’s because of liberal democrats who refuse to let executions proceed. They don’t want executions to happen. Liberal activists are the reason for the demise for the death penalty in this country. They overturn death sentences and later abolish the death penalty in their states. If this came up as a ballot initiative there, it’ll pass with flying colors.

Yet "Conservatives" ran that state for 30 years and executions and sentences didn't pick up.

Mike, you think the death penalty is worth keeping in Pennsylvania?

No waste of time and money.

Do you think Scott Wagner would’ve brought back executions there?

The entire judiciary here is controlled by Philadelphia so no.

Good link on Colorado's death penalty history: https://coloradosun.com/2019/03/04/t...y-in-colorado/

The California-ization of Colorado will be done once those new In-N-Outs open up later this year or next year. Also watch out for that in Texas in the next decade or two. I'll be surprised if the repeal does finally happen because it has failed six times since 2009.

That’s why West Virginia, Iowa, North Dakota, etc. Should revive the death penalty. Otherwise, this is gonna go on for years. Where the death penalty is just Texas. What good is that? Many states should be executing. West Virginia, Iowa, North Dakota, and Alaska can revive the death penalty in this country. Their judiciary is very conservative. Particularly, North Dakota. Iowa itself has been pushing for death penalty revivals year after year. West Virginia too.
