Man Sentenced To 3 Life Terms For 2010 West Hollywood Triple Homicide

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said that a 35-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to three life terms for a triple homicide in West Hollywood four years ago.

Harold Yong Park was found guilty in a non-jury trial of three counts each of first-degree murder and first-degree residential robbery this past September. Park elected to have a court trial, not a jury trial, with a judge determining guilt.

Park was sentenced to the life terms without the possibility of parole.

At trial, Park was accused of committing the triple homicide during a failed drug deal.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark Windham also found Park guilty of one count each of first-degree residential burglary, person present and transportation for sale of marijuana.

Special circumstance allegations of multiple murders, murder during a robbery and murder during a burglary were also found true. Additionally, Park was found guilty for use of gun allegations.

Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27, his brother, Shahriar Moussazadeh, 38, and Bernard Khalili, 27, were killed on Aug. 26, 2010, in an apartment on North Kings Road.

Park went to the apartment with the intention of stealing marijuana from the victims, according to testimony at trial. The defendant was later found with three pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, prosecutors said.
