    Facts of the Crime:

    Convicted of the April 2, 2003 murders of Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Sapinoso and his father, Tony.

    Evans was sentenced to death on September 22, 2004 in Greenville County.

    On November 6, 2006, the South Carolina Supreme Court upheld Evans' death sentence on direct appeal.

    On December 4, 2006, Evans filed an application for post-conviction relief in Greenville County Circuit Court.

    On February 24, 2011, Evans' application was denied.
