    Pablo San Martin - Florida Death Row

    Summary of Offense:

    On January 3, 1992, Leonardo Franqui, along with codefendants Ricardo Gonzalez, Pablo San Martin, and two other associates, robbed the Kislak National Bank in North Miami. During the robbery, a cash box was taken from one of the drive-thru tellers and a security guard was shot and killed during the robbery. On January 18, 1992, Gonzalez was stopped by police and confessed to the crime, also implicating Franqui in the robbery. San Martin also confessed to the robbery. Franqui was questioned by police on January 18, 1992, wherein he also confessed to the crime.

    San Martin was sentenced to death in Miami-Dade County on November 24, 1993.

    On February 23, 2011, the US Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals denied San Martin's habeas petition. It took three years for the ruling.

    In today's United States Supreme Court orders, San Martin's petition for a writ of certiorari and motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis was DENIED.
