    Donald Frederick Dallas - Alabama Death Row




    Summary of Offense:

    Sentenced to death in 1995 for capital murder in the robbery, kidnapping and slaying of Hazel Liveoak of Millbrook on July 12, 1994. Liveoak was abducted, robbed for money to buy crack cocaine and left in the trunk of her car in a Montgomery parking lot. She died from a heart attack.

    On January 12, 2012, Dallas' federal habeas petition was denied as to claims not involving a procedural-default defense by the State of Alabama. Federal District Court Judge Myron H. Thompson will rule at a later date on claims involving a procedural-default defense. The link below also provides some of the case's procedural history.

    On July 14, 2017, Dallas' habeas petition was DENIED in Federal District Court.

    On July 13, 2020, the Eleventh Circuit DENIED Dallas' appeal. The panel was made up of Judge Martin (Obama), Judge Branch (Trump) and Senior Judge Marcus (Clinton).

    Yes, Dallas will be eligible for execution on cert denied. Unsure if Dallas has chose lethal injection or Nitrogen Gas?
