Vt. forum to consider capital punishment

The Vermont Law Review is sponsoring a symposium on capital punishment and its human rights implications.

The event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Vermont Law School in South Royalton will include scholars, litigators and others looking at courtroom strategies, international law and other aspects of the death penalty.

The symposium also will honor the late Vermont Law School Professor Michael Mello, a nationally known expert on the death penalty.

The Vermont Law Review, which is edited and managed by students at the school, publishes articles contributed by prominent legal scholars as well as student-written notes and comments
