Isaac Perdomo-Paz Sentenced in 2011 KS Triple Homicide

An arrest has been made in a Feb. 26 triple homicide at a Northland motel.

Isaac Perdomo-Paz, 18, of Kansas City was charged Wednesday, March 9, with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the deaths of Dejan Joksimovic, 18, Armin Hamidovic, 18, and Delfino Elizondo, 22.

The charges were revealed by Clay County Prosecutor Dan White during a press conference at the county sheriff’s detention center in Liberty where Perdomo-Paz is being held without bail. Perdomo-Paz could face the death penalty.

Perdomo-Paz is alleged to have shot the three young men during an early morning party at the Red Roof Inn just south of Worlds of Fun. Investigators allege Perdomo-Paz murdered the men over a perceived slight involving his ex-girlfriend, according to a probable cause statement.

Though Perdomo-Paz is allegedly a member of a Hispanic gang and goes by the street name “Spider,” Clay County Sheriff Bob Boydston emphasized that the murders were an “isolated incident” unrelated to gang activity.

White cautioned that the case is ongoing and more people are being sought for questioning. He asked that anyone with information about the murders contact the prosecutor’s office at 407-3700.

LIBERTY, Mo. — A Kansas City man found guilty last year in a 2011 triple homicide at a Northland hotel will be spending the rest of his life behind bars.
Isaac Perdomo-Paz, 20, was found guilty back in November of the February 26, 2011 murder of three people at the Red Roof Inn near I-435 and Armour Road in Randolph. On Thursday, Clay County Circuit Court Judge Anthony Gabbert sentenced Perdomo-Paz to two life sentences without parole for two first-degree murder charges, life in prison for second-degree murder and an additional 150 years for three counts of armed criminal action in the case.
According to police, Armin Hamidovic, Dejan Joksimovic – both 18 – and 22-year-old Delfino Elizondo were attending a party at the motel when they were shot execution-style in an incident that began as a fight over Perdomo-Paz’s former girlfriend.
Police say that 10 to 20 people were in and around the motel room when the men were killed. Police say that Perdomo-Paz, aka “Spider,” is a member of the “Junior Division” of the East Side Loco street gang, although they say that the shooting wasn’t directly gang-related.
Attorney’s for Perdomo-Paz claimed that investigators had the wrong man, and that their client could not have pulled the trigger. They say that they plan to appeal the sentence.
In his ruling, Judge Gabbert called the shooting one of the most brutal crimes in Clay County history.
