Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospitalized with Fever

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized on Friday evening after coming down with the chills and a fever, the high court announced Saturday.

“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, last night after experiencing chills and fever earlier in the day. She was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. before being transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of any possible infection,” Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathleen Arberg said in a statement. “With intravenous antibiotics and fluids, her symptoms have abated and she expects to be released from the hospital as early as Sunday morning.”

Earlier November, a stomach bug forced the 86-year-old to miss arguments. She returned for a public meeting on November 18th.

Ginsburg — often referred to as the “notorious RBG” in liberal circles — has experienced several health issues in recent years. The justice broke three of her ribs in a fall last November and underwent surgery for cancer on her lung in December 2018. She received radiation treatment for pancreatic cancer in August.

Ginsburg also survived colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009.

Despite ongoing speculation of her retirement, the justice signaled in August that she has no plans to step down from the bench.

She was appointed by then-President Jimmy Carter to the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1980 and appointed to the Supreme Court by then-President Clinton in 1993.

She needs to just go out with dignity at this point I don’t even want her dead just retire and spend what little time you have with your family

At this point Ginsburg is like the Emperor of Mankind . Hooked up to life support machines for 10,000 years and it's considered an act against all of humanity to remove him from his throne and have him replaced.
"There is a point in the history of a society when it becomes so pathologically soft and tender that among other things it sides even with those who harm it, criminals, and does this quite seriously and honestly. Punishing somehow seems unfair to it, and it is certain that imagining ‘punishment’ and ‘being supposed to punish’ hurts it, arouses fear in it." Friedrich Nietzsche

Maybe this is how she avoids her family.

It's not even winter yet and she is already having fever and the chills. Moreover, she has had one thing after another in the past year. I think this time we are looking at the final curtain..

Ruth Bader Ginsburg reveals she is "cancer free"

    By Danielle Garrand
    CBS News

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed that she is "cancer free" on Tuesday in an interview in her chambers with CNN, reports the outlet. The 86-year-old has been treated for cancer twice in the past 13 months — she had a tumor removed from her pancreas in August and two cancerous nodules on her lung removed in December 2018.

In the interview, the justice told CNN her year was off to a good start. "I'm cancer free. That's good," she told CNN.

Last August, Ginsburg underwent a three-week course of radiation for a tumor on her pancreas, according to a release sent by the Supreme Court. The tumor was treated "definitively," according to the statement, and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body.

In December of 2018, she underwent surgery to remove two cancerous nodules from her lung. In January 2019, she missed oral arguments for what was first time in more than 25 years.

"Post-surgery evaluation indicates no evidence of remaining disease, and no further treatment is required," a spokesperson for the Supreme Court said a few weeks later.

The legendary justice has had multiple other health issues over the past few years, including fracturing three ribs on her left side after a fall in her office in late 2018 and being hospitalized for chills and fever in November.

She has now been treated for cancer four times over a two-decade span. She had colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009.

Both liberals and conservatives are closely watching the health of Ginsburg, who is the court's oldest justice. President Trump has already successfully added two conservative justices to the court and adding a third could significantly swing the court to the right.

Ginsburg has been hospitalized for a benign gallstone infection and received nonsurgical treatment. Is expected to be released in a couple of days.

"They will hurt you. They will hurt your grandma, these people. The root cause of this is there's no discipline in the homes, they don't go to school, you know, they live off the government, no personal accountability, and they just beat people up for no reason, and it's disgusting." - Former Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters

With all the slicing and dicing she's endured over the decades, I'm surprised they didn't take out her gall bladder at some point.
