Death Penalty Sought in Blurton Murder Case
Warsaw, MO -- The prosecuting attorney in Benton County, Missouri plans to seek the death penalty for Robert Blurton.
Blurton is charged with killing his aunt and uncle, Donnie and Sharon Luetjen, and their 15-year-old granddaughter, Taron, at their home in Cole Camp, Missouri last June.
Court documents show a witness identified Blurton's voice on a phone message from the night of the murders.
Court documents also say there is DNA that links Blurton to the crime.
Blurton's next court date is set for the end of April.
The defense is still weighing its options for requesting a change of venue.
