Is Judge Price the judge who recently came out of the closet as an abolitionist?

Yeah. There isn't a need to fret though, seeing that Judge Price is retiring, and has a damn good replacement waiting for him in January. Bert Richardson, the judge we elected to replace Price, knows how to dish out justice in a timely manner in Texas standards. So, ultimately then, it doesn't matter how much Judge Price dissents throughout the remainder of his term.

The root cause of this is there's no discipline in the homes, they don't go to school, you know, they live off the government, no personal accountability, and they just beat people up for no reason, and it's disgusting." - Former Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters

Rockwell's apparently still on the rocket docket. He was sentenced in 2012 and is already before the Fifth Circuit.

Rockwell really is on the fast track. Denied a COA just 8 months later. Sentenced in 2012 and already on the verge of being warrant ready

Fort Worth man on death row loses federal appeal

HOUSTON — A federal appeals court has rejected an appeal from a Fort Worth man on Texas death row for a 2010 convenience store holdup that left two men dead.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday refused arguments from 41-year-old Kwame Rockwell that he had poor legal help at his Tarrant County trial when his lawyers decided to not present evidence he may be schizophrenic and that he used steroids. He also argued his mental illness should disqualify him from the death penalty and that Texas law barred juries from considering mitigating evidence.

Jurors condemned him for the fatal shooting of 22-year-old store clerk Daniel Rojas. Evidence also showed a bread deliveryman was killed during the robbery in southeast Fort Worth.

Rockwell does not yet have an execution date.
