DA will seek death penalty for Morris
OXFORD (WTVD) -- District Attorney Sam Currin's office will seek the death penalty against Scott Morris.
A court clerk confirmed for ABC11 that Currin's office has filed notice in the case.
Morris, 35, of Creedmoor, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife Kelly Currin Morris. Investigator say Morris also set the couple's house - located southeast of Stem - on fire.
Kelly was 28 when she vanished Sept. 3, 2008. Her remains were found in a wooded area in November and Morris was arrested.
