Man, if only this could happen way more often...any bets on the criminal history of the "victim"? Buy the shooter some fresh ammo!

DALLAS - Gunfire at a convenience store on Forest Lane left one man dead, and it wasn't clear Thursday whether the shooter will face charges.

Witnesses say just after 4 p.m. a man who appeared to be intoxicated was harassing customers at the EZ Trip Food Store in the 9000 block of Forest Lane. He slapped one individual in the face then left the store. He returned a short time later and punched a second customer.

The altercation led outside, where the customer who had been punched produced a handgun and shot the individual. The shooter had his concealed handgun license.

The victim was transported to Baylor hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:19 p.m.

The shooter remained at the scene until officers arrived, and was being interviewed by homicide detectives Thursday night. It is unclear if the shooter will face charges.
