    Riyadh: Saudi authorities beheaded on Wednesday a national after he was convicted of murder, the interior ministry said.

    Salim Bin Hassan Al Essi was found guilty of shooting dead Omar Bin Shami Al Shardi, the ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency.

    Saudi authorities beheaded a Syrian man on Tuesday after he was convicted of trafficking drugs into the ultra-conservative kingdom, the interior ministry said.

    Waleed Zeineddin was arrested while trafficking a large amount of amphetamine stimulant capsules that are listed as drugs in Saudi Arabia, the ministry said in a statement carried by state news agency SPA.

    Saudi Arabia beheads citizen for murder

    Saudi authorities beheaded a citizen in Riyadh on Monday after he was convicted of murder, the interior ministry said.

    The man, Mazyad al-Obeidi, shot dead a Saudi national following an argument, the ministry said in a statement carried by the official SPA news agency.

    His execution in the capital brings to 68 the number of people executed in Saudi Arabia so far this year, according to an AFP count.

    Saad bin Shbat al-Subaie was executed for shooting dead fellow tribesman Mughnem bin Mohammed al-Subaie, the ministry said in a statement published by the official SPA news agency.

    Saudi man beheaded for incest that made family member pregnant

    SAUDI authorities have beheaded a man convicted of incest in the south of the conservative Muslim kingdom, the interior ministry said.

    Hasan Ghazwani, a Saudi national, was executed in the city of Jizan, the ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency.

    It said Ghazwani's affair had led to a pregnancy but did not disclose their family relationship or whether the woman had delivered.

    Saudi beheading brings execution toll to 76 this year


    Saudi authorities on Tuesday beheaded a Syrian man convicted of smuggling drugs to the medieval-styled kingdom, the interior ministry said.

    Syrian national Hasan Mahmud al-Bash was executed in the northern province of Jawf, the ministry said in a statement carried by the official SPA news agency.

    Bash was arrested while attempting to traffic "a large amount of narcotic capsules," the ministry added.

    His beheading brings to 76 the number of executions carried out in Saudi Arabia this year, according to an AFP count, matching the toll for 2012.

    Saudi drug trafficker beheaded

    A Saudi convicted of trafficking drugs was beheaded Friday at Tabuk in the northwest of the conservative desert kingdom, the interior ministry said.

    Anad al-Amrani had been found guilty of smuggling a large number of pills into the country, said a ministry statement cited by the official SPA news agency.

    Saudi Arabia beheads Pakistani man in Riyadh

    Saudi Arabian authorities have beheaded a Pakistani man over alleged charges of drug trafficking, amid rising concerns about the growing number of executions in the kingdom.

    According to Saudi Interior Ministry officials, Zufar Iqbal Mohammed Khan, a Pakistani national, was beheaded on Tuesday in Riyadh, the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia.

    His beheading brings to 78 the number of people executed in the kingdom in 2013.

    Saudi officials execute convicts by sword and then dangle their corpses from a helicopter to make sure the public could see the result of the execution.

    Saudi Arabia has also executed a large number of guest workers from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Philippines and Indonesia over the past years.
