It can't possibly be any more random than Hendrix (not that I'm complaining). I pick... (Rolls Dice) Dennis Sochor.

    Kenneth Quince is my guess.

Excellent choice! Quince is an old timer from the late 70's His dispicable murder of an 82 year old woman is worthy of the gas chamber.

PS: Sorry I meant to post my question about Governor Scott's next choice here, not the Hendrix thread

My guess will be Donald Dillbeck. He killed an officer in 1979 at the age of 15. In 1990 he escaped from prison and commited another murder.

My guess is Bryan Jennings. He killed a six year old girl and has been out of appeals for quite some time.

I'm going to pick Willie Lee Thompson. He brutally tortured, raped and murdered a young girl and he has been on DR for more than 35 years.

this is what I chose from:

    35 Years+

    Douglas Meeks - 3/12/75 - denied by 11th Circuit
    Jacob Dougan - 4/10/75 - reversed
    Charles Foster - 10/4/75 - denied by 11th Circuit
    William Zeigler - 7/16/76 - denied by 11th Circuit
    Harry Sireci - 11/15/76 - denied by 11th Circuit
Harold Gene Lucas - 2/9/77 - denied by 11th Circuit
James Ernst Hitchcock - 2/11/77 - denied by 11th Circuit
James Rose - 5/17/77 - denied habeas relief by Florida Supreme Court
    Ernest Downs - 1/27/78 - denied by 11th Circuit
Freddie Lee Hall - 6/27/78 - Federal District Court
    William Thompson - 9/20/78 - denied by 11th Circuit
    Stephen Booker - 10/20/78 - denied by 11th Circuit
William White - 12/20/78 - Federal District Court

I'm worried that he hasn't signed any more warrants yet. What is he waiting for? If I were governor there would be numerous executions scheduled until this list was exhausted.

I wish it were as simple as assigning everyone a number and spinning roulette table but the entire execution process is a bureaucratic catastrophe, with state attorneys for the Governor and Attorney General working double over time noon and night push pencils and shuffle papers. I wish I had a better description for what they do but I don't. It seams that inmates magically get another dozen appeals once the Warrant is signed. If I was Governor, the State Electrician would be the highest paid citizen in Florida.
