A lot of them (15 of 26) that Governor Scott has chosen have also had multiple death sentences. Remember the piece of garbage known as John Ferguson? Manuel Pardo? David Alan Gore? All multiple death sentences. And Patrick Hannon has 2 stacked on as well. And nearly all of them that he has chosen are some of the worst crimes I've read about in FL capital cases. Looks to me then, that the worst are getting chosen above others.

It's good to see Scott isn't wasting time signing warrants. There's a great chance that Florida will probably lead the country in executions next year. One a month would be good.

Scott has time enough to set one more X-date in December before Christmas. Will see.

Well Hannon has received his grand prize. We'll probably find out Rick Scott's next pick today or tomorrow for December or January.

If he signs another warrant by Thanksgiving, I'm giving this site another $20; I'll double that if it's for George Trepal.

I did some research and Duane Owen has an appeal in Palm Beach on a Hurst claim. So he most likely isn't next. Maybe William Zeigler. SCOTUS refused to hear another one of his endless appeals today. The state is probably waiting on Hitchcock to file at SCOTUS.

Hitchcock shouldn't be a problem for the state unless the USSC has agreed to hear the case, which it hasn't. Oscar Ray Bolin was challenging his death warrant while Hurst was pending at the USSC, and he failed. Hitchcock is no different. In sum, there is nothing barring Governor Scott from signing another warrant for a thug that has exhausted appeals completely. Two of those were denied today (again), and those are Dean Kilgore and William Zeigler, among many more. The state should waste no more time when it's obvious that many of these death row inmates are done in court.

It's nice to see FFM and I have the same wish for Florida. Trepal caused his victim months of agony. Not unlike cancer or disease. His case was in executive review so a death warrant is quite likely.

Also, Hannon was signed before he filed a Hurst claim. Scott needs to hurry and sign one for January. There are no barriers for anyone pre Ring with cert denied.
