I rarely have adequate time in front of a computer to do much researching these days, so I am sorry if this question seems ignorant or stupid.

Robert Gleason was electrocuted--why? I mean we all know why he was executed, but why by the chair? Was he booked before it was ruled cruel and unusual, or did he choose it? And if he chose it, did he ever give any explanation as to why?

Just hoping someone can clear this up for me, I was just surprised that the good ol' loveseat had been dusted off after so long. Unfortunately grandpa needs the computer and I've got errands to run. Will visit again soon.
