Every time I look out across my backyard I see the house of horrors that poor Jeffrey and his sister lived in.
Jeffrey Baldwin only lived five short years. At the time of his death he weighed 18 pounds which is normal weight for a baby between 6 to 9 months old.
Jeffrey and his sister were placed with the grandmother and her husband by the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto, to spite criminal convictions of both the step grandfather and grandmother; that included the death of the grandmothers child where she was convicted of assault and also having lost two of her own children to Children's Aid for abuse and neglect.
Nobody checked on Jeffrey and his sister...not the many street people who lived in the house and paid rent under the table...not the agency that is paid by tax payers to look after our children...no one cared.
Below are three articles recently published because the grandmother Elva Bottineau was appealing her sentence of 20 years in prison for 2nd degree murder..Update Elva Bottineau's appeal to reduce her sentence was denied and her partner in crime, Norman Kidman is currently serving 22 years for 2nd degree murder.
