    Police don't even carry guns in most of Europe! Do you really think that would work in the USA?
    It varies country to country in Europe. In Britain and Ireland the police don't routinely carry guns, although there are some police units who do. In both France and Switzerland though the police always carry guns as US police do. Both France and Switzerland have extremely militaristic and intimidating police forces in comparison to public servants in the British police. I think Greek police also carry guns, but their police force is less visible than those of the other countries.

    Its not all about guns. You have bigger, social problems to solve!
    That's true but guns make it a LOT easier to kill someone or a group of people! Suicides are also MUCH easier with a gun. Gun owners know that and that's why gun they don't want to give them up!

    Studies clearly show the risk goes up for everyone in the nation the more guns you have and risk goes down with fewer guns.
